Data Date is a device designed to facilitate romantic interactions. Using two heart-rate sensors and two dual LCD displays, partners' vitals are measured and displayed to one another as they converse. Questions are then prompted to the partners through the device’s displays which engage them with each other and the device, intending to evoke heart rate responses.
Examples of the device’s prompts range from “Did you look through my social media pages before this date?” to “Do you find me attractive?”
The device is crafted from laser cut acrylic panels and protoboarded Arduino components.
